Born into the Italian aristocracy, the marquise Mita Luciani Ranier descends from a noble Venetian family on her father’s side, the marquis Luciani Ranier, duke of Canosa and Roman nobility on her mother’s side, the countess Lazzarini. Her maternal grand-mother was lady-in-waiting to Queen Maria José of Savoia at the Italian court. Marchioness Mita, is a Dame of Honour and Devotion of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta. In her hometown Rome, she works many years as a PR for the prestigious Hassler Hotel (ranked in the nineties among the seven best hotels of the world), and then for the famous auction house Christie’s. Eventually, Marchioness Mita launches the concept of training and classes of good manners, adapting them to modern times. She obtains an immediate success, and the Italian TV devotes her a live weekly programme on the subject.
